Collection consists of two discs of digital audio recordings of oral history interviews of Frank Jordan, conducted by Ian Cameron between December 2002 and 2004. Contents of the recordings include: Disc 1 (recorded December 2002): Trunk 7 early 1920s; apple picking in Annapolis Valley; Sherbrooke Garage and Livery Stable; Postmistress; Dr. Monahan; Dr. Stone; James Burns and the Silver Inn; 1937 Silver Inn fire; Frank working at the Power Station; 1960s Flood of St. Mary's River. Disc 2 (recorded 2003 and 2004): 1884 Steel Bridge at Sherbrooke; Belle Baker; gas stations in Sherbrooke; Wilson's Cove; Harpellville; Liscomb Mills; Hen MacLean story; Ned Cluny named Gallbush Hill; Ned Cluny and Bruce MacDonald's uncle; Johnny MacLean's Store; Park Jordan moves the Hollingsworth and Whitney store with a horse and pulleys. Also included in the collection are negatives and prints of 50 b&w photographs taken by Tom Chisholm (b. 1901) while he was employed by the Sonora Timber Co. Fonds consist of one log book from the S.S. Dufferin, September 1909 - December 1909. The log entries were made by Capt. William Murdoch and minimally describe weather, wind, course, and daily activities. Pasted within the inside cover and first 4 pages are newspaper clippings related to household tips, a clipping of A.A. Gunn (possibly Alexander Angus Gunn of East River St. Mary's, part owner of Sherbrooke's Scotia Lumber & Shipping Company), and a clipping about a car accident in Sherbrooke titled "Vehicle Plunges Down Bank But Lands In Shallow Water" (1937). 2020.034

Fonds consists of one accounts ledger for R.R. Sinclair, General Merchant, Sherbrooke (1905-1913). Ledger lists local and non-local account names (both individuals and companies), goods purchased, and payments made, both cash and in-kind. Back of the ledger lists additional accounts. Interleaved within the ledger is the pamphlet "Speech of Hon. J. Anderson in the Legislative Council on Tuesday, June 1st, Dealing with the Affairs of the Commercial Bank of Newfoundland" (ca. 1915) and a printed tag from Sinclair's store located between pages 163 and 164 of the ledger. 2020.003

Fonds consist of records created and accumulated by Florence M. MacDonald relating to her personal life and three generations of the Donald MacDonald family of Sherbrooke, Guysborough County. Included are a Gaelic language Bible (1867) belonging to Donald MacDonald; a cookbook (1879) interleaved with handwritten family recipes and recipe clippings belonging to Mrs. Donald MacDonald; and records relating to James Wm. MacDonald, Murray MacDonald, and John Geddie MacDonald. Also included are MacDonald family portraits and two photograph albums, one of Florence MacDonald and friends in Sherbrooke and Halifax, and another of lumbering, hunting, and fishing along the St. Mary's River; Province of Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture Domestic Science Bulletin No. 1, Women's Institute Division, The Cooking and Canning of Vegetables (1916); community newspaper clippings and obituaries; personal files and correspondence; and genealogy research and correspondence relating to the MacDonald and Sutherland families of St. Mary's. Also included are originals and copied b&w photographs and negatives used or considered as part of Florence MacDonald's book "Sherbrooke as I Remember It," published in 1987.
