Hosking General Store fonds and consists of correspondence related to the Store, including a letter from a customer to Mildred Hosking, and a letter to Garth Hosking from the Employment Insurance Commission. Series also includes sets of blank letterheads and invoices in W.M.O. Mitchell’s name from the 1910s. Also included in the series is a 1941 license to sell gasoline issued to W.M.O. Mitchell. Series also includes blank letterheads from Hosking’s Garage. In addition, series includes a 1904 list of voters from the number 27 polling district of Halifax County. In addition, it contains correspondence and a postmaster's book from the Lower East Pubnico post office, and records from the Catholic Mutual Benefit Association and the Amiro Bros. & d'Entremont Fish Company. Also included are records of the Pubnico Fisherman's Bait Association and correspondence, invoices and inventory records pertaining to Marc E. LeBlanc's general store. It has not been established why these records were found amongst the d'Entremont papers. Records have been arranged chronologically. Periodicals and catalogues have been alphabetically arranged according to title of name of supplier. Ledger/books are located on storage shelves and loose records are contained in banker boxes.
