Consists of photographs taken by Notman Studio of Halifax, Nova Scotia and consists mainly of individual and group portraits of residents of, and visitors to, Halifax. Also includes naval ships and personnel, and buildings, streets and views of Halifax, as well as other Nova Scotian communities, including Antigonish, Canso, Dartmouth, Grand Pré, Musquodoboit Harbour, Sheet Harbour, Truro and Whitehead. Predominantly proof prints; also includes glass negatives, both wet- and dry-plate. Photographs organized by format, and within each format by original negative/proof print number. 1983-310
John George Marshall

Consists of correspondence and other records relating to John George Marshall's professional career and his personal activities. Correspondence includes letters written to and from Marshall pertaining to his career in law and public office, particuarly the court of chancery, as well as his research, publishing matters, temperance and religious discussions, and family and personal news. Correspondents include Sir James Kempt, William Young, and daughter Mary (Marshall) Black, wife of William Lang Black. Also contains commissions, appointments, petitions, notes, essays, manuscripts, sermons, newspaper clippings, deeds and other legal documents, financial records, sheet music, and a few poems. Records concern Confederation, temperance, religion, Cape Breton roads, and the Court of Chancery, notably the case of Bown vs Bown. Also included are genealogical notes and biographical information on John George Marshall and the Marshall family, a few items, 1930s-1963, added later by relatives. MG 1 volumes 1282-1285

Includes a variety of programming such as documentaries, talk shows, stock shots, bloopers, and special event coverage. Includes the complete series "East Coast Authors", 1985-1987, a weekly talk show hosted by Lesley Choyce which continued as "Choyce Words", 1987-1994, and evolved to feature interviews with nationally and internationally acclaimed authors.
