Fonds consists of records generated and accumulated by the proprietors of the Salmon River House between 1932 and 2002. Included in the fonds are hotel registers, historical information about the Salmon River House, photographs of the house in various years, and a menu listing dishes served there. Collection consists of copies and transcriptions of records from various churches and parishes that were located on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia or which were used by Eastern Shore residents. The collection contains baptismal, marriage, burial, and confirmation records along with other church records, dating from 1752 to 1982. Lena Ferguson fonds

Fonds consists of approximately 137 hours of oral history interviews conducted by Lena Ferguson. Most interviewees were residents of the Eastern Shore region of Halifax County, particularly the Chezzetcook area. Interview topics include genealogy, local industries, occupations, music, shipping, community life, traditions, and folklore. In addition to interviews, the creator recorded school reunions, concerts, weddings, and church anniversaries. Several paper transcripts are included as well as scrapbooks featuring articles written by Lena and other newspaper articles regarding the Chezzetcook area. 2019.014
