        History

John Bonyman and Sons, a sash and door factory, was founded at Tatamagouche, N.S. in 1887 by John Bonyman (1834-1909). The factory also manufactured lumber, flooring, sheathing, moldings and brackets. It was located at the foot of present-day Creamery Street and serviced customers from Pugwash to River John and Earltown to Wentworth. Bonyman's sons continued to operate the business until a 1922 fire destroyed the factory.
