      History

      John Chipman Kerr was born in Fox River left to go to Edmonton with his brother Roland as a teenager and joined the forces. John Chipman was awarded the Victoria Cross Medal in WWI for capturing a platoon of German soldier single handed while under fire and taking on personal injury. Brother Roland was killed in battle. John retired to Port Moody BC where a park in named after him.
