The Kinburn Boot & Shoe Company, financed by several Mahone Bay area investors, was apparently preparing to launch its operations in 1936, when a fire and resulting water damage destroyed the firm’s manufacturing equipment and put an end to the company’s activities.

Scope and content
Fonds consists of a chartered accountant’s 1936 report to a committee of shareholders that was prepared at the behest of Frank L. Ernst following a fire that damaged the company’s machinery.
