Administrative history
During this period, the Lanark Post Office was supervised by four postmasters: Alphonsus McDonald (1926, 1931-36), William Dunn (1926-31), Mrs. Catherine Dunn (1936-44), and Mrs. Mary Josephine Gillis (1944-47). The office was closed in 1947.
Custodial history
Donated from the Gillis family, whose grandmother was last postmistress.

Correspondence. Records are kept through December 1937 in the first third of the book.
