    Fonds consists of correspondence, 10 ledgers, 11 day books, 2 scrapbooks of receipts and general ledgers for registered letters. The two ledgers have been used a scrapbooks for receipts, which have been pasted over most pages of the ledgers and one of the postal books. It is thought that Messrs. McLeod and McLean did this themselves.

    Physical condition

    The ledger/scrapbooks are in extremely poor condition, bindings and covers are missing or completely broken and pages fall out very easily. Handle with care.

    Immediate source of acquisition

    Records were donated by Auden McLeod of River John who is the grand-nephew of J.W. McLeod.
