Biographical history

Minnie Leone Joudrey was born at Mahone Bay in 1884. In 1908 she married the journalist Clarence Seymour Hutt and moved to Connecticut. The couple had one child, a daughter, Marjorie (1910-2010), who, for many years, spent her summers at the Joudrey family home in Mahone Bay.

Custodial history

The confirmation certificate was donated by Mrs. Robert Beecher in 1992. The photographs were donated to the Mahone Bay Museum in 1997 by Marjorie (Hutt) Beecher (accession numbers 06.1.7.10, 06.3.29).

Scope and content

Fonds consists of a church confirmation certificate (1901) and four original photographs. One depicts Minnie Leone Joudrey’s school class in 1891. The other three photographs depict the interior decorations for Joudrey’s marriage at St. James Church in Mahone Bay in 1908.
