              Fonds consists of two ledgers detailing births, deaths, and marriages in the Musquodoboit, Petpeswick, and Ostrea Lake areas from 1939 to 1943. The certificates documenting Ms. Van Malder's appointment as registrar are also included. Accession number: 2008.008

              Series forms part of the Musquodoboit Harbour Heritage Society collection and consists of transcripts and cassette tape recordings of personal interviews conducted by the Musquodoboit Harbour Heritage Society with various local residents. Interviewees include Etta Mae (Gault) Hilchie, Gladys Ritcey, Lowell Gaetz, Debbie Marks, Awilda Connors, George Slaunwhite, Annie Young, Elliott Slade, Arthur Mannette, Stewart and Dorothy Rowlings, Blanche Baker, Mae Pettipas, Eva Fahie, Dollie Mosher, Clive Monk, Florence Baker, Cora Mason, Gertie Mannette, Lillian Bellefontaine, and Florence Colbert.               Series forms part of the Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital fonds and includes seven black and white photographs and thirty-one color photographs related to the Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital. Included is a photograph of the official opening of the hospital on June 8, 1950 featuring Dr. Morrison and other hospital staff members, a photograph of the nursery inside the hospital, a photograph of a woman near a sign on the roadside advertising the Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital fair, photos of patients, two photographs of Charles Illsey turning the sod for the hospital on July 5, 1948; and a photograph of the ceremony that took place that day with the Honourable G. Stevens addressing those in attendance. Series also contains various photographs of the new hospital facility being built c. 1977. Accession number 2013.065

              Series forms part of the Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital fonds and consists of copies of a 1945 bill featuring an act to incorporate the War Memorial Hospital, Musquodoboit Harbour, N.S. and a 1946 bill featuring an amendment to the previous bill with the purpose of changing the name of the hospital to the Twin Oaks War Memorial Hospital. Also included is a statement of the hospital’s mission, the agreement made between the Canadian Red Cross Society, the Musquodoboit Harbour branch of the Canadian Red Cross, and Twin Oaks War Memorial Hospital Inc. in 1950; the Red Cross Outpost Hospital Policy, and a list of rules and regulations for Red Cross nursing personnel.               Series forms part of the Eastern Shore Board of Trade, District 19 fonds and consists of publications issued by the board including newsletters, sheets advertising events, and a bookmark advertising the Marine Highway (Highway 7) to tourists. Some newsletters are issued jointly with the Musquodoboit Harbour and Sheet Harbour Boards of Trade. Series also includes a black-and-white photograph of a truck adorned with signs advertising the board, probably part of a parade. Also included are newsletters and other documents issued by separate organizations, including the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and the Maritime Provinces Board of Trade. In addition, series includes correspondence, a 1964 schedule of rates for the Ship Harbour Lake Mutual Telephone Company, and minutes of a 1964 meeting of an Eastern Shore group interested in industrial development.               Subseries consists of correspondence from the United Church of Canada Board of Religious Education as well as pamphlets for religious gifts and calendars, a brochure, and a pamphlet containing plans for Sunday School workers leading up to Easter.
