Scope and content

Series consists of material collected by Lynn Jones relating to her brother, Burnley Allan "Rocky" Jones; and it is divided into four subseries. Rocky was a prominent African-Nova Scotian lawyer and political activist. The series documents his career as a lawyer, and as a politician (with material from his run for the Provincial NDP in 1980), his activism (with materials relating to the Black Panthers, the Black United Front, and other topics), and his personal life (including material relating to his 1993 wedding). The materials in this series are diverse and range from correspondence, news clippings, reports, writings, and other materials.
