Biographical history

Ron Stang is an alumnus of Dalhousie University. He studied with Gregory Kealey and, in 1980, he submitted an honours thesis entitled "Community, industry and workers along Nova Scotia's north shore: The Malagash salt miners."

Custodial history

Material was owned by Ron Stang until submission to Gregory Kealey on April 2, 1980. Kealey was in possession of the material until he donated it to the Dalhousie University Archives in September 1980.

Scope and content

Collection includes Ron Stang's honours thesis submitted to Gregory Kealey in April 1980. The title of the thesis is "Community, industry and workers along Nova Scotia's north shore: The Malagash salt miners." Collection also contains correspondence sent from the Canadian Salt Company Limited to Ron Stang. Correspondence includes financial statements from Malagash Salt Company Limited.
