Item consists of a commemorative plaque presented to the people of Halifax on the occasion of the Olympic Torch Relay, which took place from November 17th, 1987 to February 13th, 1988. The relay was part of the XV Olympic Winter Games. The plaque is engraved on glass and mounted on a burgundy background in a metal frame.
