    Administrative history

    Originally, St. Mary's High School, Halifax, Nova Scotia, co-existed with St. Mary's College. The college and high school became separate entities in 1852 after Saint Mary's College was given permanent degree-granting power. The High School remained in existence until 1963; the last graduating class had 25 students.
