              business and personal records of David and James B. Davison. The majority of the records are in relation to the general store and shipyard operated by the brothers. These consist of ledgers, accounts, receipts, promissary notes, contracts and correspondence. The correspondence includes letters regarding cargo, sale of vessels, political events in Halifax and some personal correspondence with family and friends. Also included are records regarding the settling of David Davison's estate.

              Fonds consists of one account book, which was used to record the sale of agricultural goods and one day book, which contains an introduction written by Black, regarding its use and how he created it.

              Fonds consists of a daybook, receipts, correspondence, account records, legal documents, agreements, promissary notes and personal correspondence. Business records are in relation mainly to the sale of rum, grocery and sundry items. Accounts are often with prominent Pictou businessmen such as Edward Mortimer, Thomas Davison and other members of the Patterson family.

              Series forms part of the Eastern Shore Board of Trade, District 19 fonds and consists of correspondence of the board and its members. Included is correspondence with government officials related to requests for speed zones on Highway 7, the demolition of a derelict wharf in Oyster Pond, the construction of a jetty in DeBaie's Cove, improvement of snow removal services, general road improvements and repairs, and the creation of an RCMP detachment in Lake Charlotte. Series also includes correspondence related to tourism promotion, banquets and other events which the board hosted or participated in, as well as correspondence with other organizations in which the board held membership including the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the Maritime Provinces Board of Trade, and the Atlantic Provinces Economic Council.               Series forms part of the Eastern Shore Board of Trade, District 19 fonds and consists of publications issued by the board including newsletters, sheets advertising events, and a bookmark advertising the Marine Highway (Highway 7) to tourists. Some newsletters are issued jointly with the Musquodoboit Harbour and Sheet Harbour Boards of Trade. Series also includes a black-and-white photograph of a truck adorned with signs advertising the board, probably part of a parade. Also included are newsletters and other documents issued by separate organizations, including the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and the Maritime Provinces Board of Trade. In addition, series includes correspondence, a 1964 schedule of rates for the Ship Harbour Lake Mutual Telephone Company, and minutes of a 1964 meeting of an Eastern Shore group interested in industrial development. Series contains clippings and other material, and includes newspaper articles and advertisements promoting tourism on the Eastern Shore. Also included in the series are clippings, a government publication, correspondence and other material related to the proposal for a Ship Harbour National Park.               Lena Ferguson fonds

              Fonds consists of approximately 137 hours of oral history interviews conducted by Lena Ferguson. Most interviewees were residents of the Eastern Shore region of Halifax County, particularly the Chezzetcook area. Interview topics include genealogy, local industries, occupations, music, shipping, community life, traditions, and folklore. In addition to interviews, the creator recorded school reunions, concerts, weddings, and church anniversaries. Several paper transcripts are included as well as scrapbooks featuring articles written by Lena and other newspaper articles regarding the Chezzetcook area. 2019.014
