    Administrative history

    In 1886, William P. Scott began publishing the Eastern Echo, a weekly newspaper, at Antigonish, Nova Scotia. It ceased publication in 1891.

    Custodial history

    Records were donated by Ronald MacDonald, an Antigonish resident and historian.

    Scope and content

    Fonds consists of one day book into which invoices, statements, purchase orders and other documents were pasted. All documents pertain to the running of the Eastern Echo. 18 issues of the Eastern Echo newspaper are part of this fonds.
