Biographical history
Helen Coggins Hayford was born at Westport, Digby County in 1893. She worked for several years as a school teacher. Her brother, Albert C. Hayford, was a dentist in Mahone Bay. Helen C. Hayford died in 1952 and is buried in Mahone Bay.
Custodial history
The postcard was donated in 2004 by Carolyn Welch on behalf of Helen Hayford’s cousin Edward Coggins.
Scope and content
Fonds consists of a postcard sent to Helen C. Hayford from her sister-in law Edith M. (Young) Hayford of Mahone Bay. The front of the card features an original photograph of Westhaver’s Island in Mahone Bay.
