Biographical history
George Robertson received his law degree from Harvard in 1946. He was a law professor at Dalhousie University, and counsel at the McInnes Cooper Robertson law firm in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Robertson was appointed to the Queen's Council. He died on November 22. 2000.
Custodial history
Collection was donated by the Estate of Shirley E. Robertson.
Scope and content
Collection consists of letters, legal documents, and a bill of lading, dating from the 1800s and early 1900s. One of the letters was sent to Joseph Howe, and one of the legal documents concerns land that was set aside for the "Maroons."
