Biographical history
James Wallace Graves was born 25 November 1825, the son of Elias and Annie. He established a general store at Kingston Village, Nova Scotia, circa 1855. On 6 January 1866, Graves married Almira Jane Patterson at Aylesford, N.S. Their first child, Almira, was born 17 November 1866, also in Aylesford. In addition to running his general store, Graves served as Inspector of Roads in 1890. His general store remained in business until circa 1899. J. Wallace Graves died in December 1914 at age 89.
