              Part of Clergy of St. Paul's Church fonds
              Series consists of registers recording baptisms, burials, confirmations and marriages held in the Parish of St. Pauls. Some registers record sacraments administered in Lunenburg, Annapolis Royal, Windsor, and Newport (1749-1861). Also included is the missionary register of William Ellis, which covers areas of Newport, Windsor, Falmouth, Cornwallis, Horton, and Rawdon (1775-1795), as well as the burial register of J. Keefler, sexton (1817-1838). Extant notes from the registers include lists of pew rents and banns, bonds, some marriage certificates and notes in lieu of licenses, the cradle roll of infants born in the parish and a list of pastoral visitations. One parochial register includes an index to vestry minutes from 1759-1895. Sub-series consists of: confirmation documents and service registers

Series includes publications, copies of publications, publisher catalogues, finding aids from Nova Scotia Archives and Records Management (then known as the Public Archives of Nova Scotia) and other archives and brochures. Series also includes copies of historical records including the June 5, 1784 muster roll of the Royal Garrison Battalion at Sheet Harbour, 1871 census records possibly taken at the Halifax Poor House, and the February 1779 General Monthly Return of the German Troops in Canada. 2003.010

              Item consists of one handwritten page, addressed “to whom it may concern” certifying that Simon Myers and B. Ann Shelnutt were married in Shoal Bay on the 4th of February, 1858. The document was written on December 10, 1858 by Rev. Robert B. Jamison at Ship Harbour and is witnessed by Neil Bollong, George Shelnutt, and Henry Shellnut. Accession number 2013.004
