Minutes include records of meetings, membership lists and dues and financial records. Occasionally correspondence has been interfiled within the books. Also included are the Nova Scotia year books (1889, 1899, 1903), national publications such as by-laws, procedures and song books.

Fonds consists of records created and accumulated by the Kent family primarily during their time spent as lighthouse keepers on Kent Island. There are also records relating to Kent family history and the family’s involvement in the Pleasant Point United Church. In addition, there are records and photographs relating to the sons of Phebe and Arch Kent who served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. Accession number 2013.021

Fonds consists of minute books and treasurers' books. Also contained in the fonds is a 1938 copy of the constitution, a copy of a centennial book published in 1947, and miscellaneous papers. The fifteen minute books include the years 1866 to 1992 - from the society's inception to closing. Unfortunately some pages of the earlier books have brief sections cut out. The six treasurers' books cover the dates 1917 to 1975, however they are not complete.
